Cuna de Piedra Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon En oferta

A Cabernet Sauvignon rooted in Uruguay's oldest wine story. Grown among the rocky hills of Los Cerros de San Juan, this expressive Cabernet Sauvignon layers blackberry, blueberry, and spice over polished tannins and subtle notes of cedar smoke. Description

Some places shape a wine long before the grapes are harvested.

At Los Cerros de San Juan, Uruguay's oldest winery, vineyards stretch across rocky hills that have influenced the estate since its founding in 1854. The wine takes its name, Cuna de Piedra—"Cradle of Stone"—a fitting tribute to the rugged landscape and historic foundations that define this remarkable property.

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon is a modern expression of this historic estate. Grown in sandy loam and clay soils rich in limestone, the fruit develops exceptional concentration while retaining balance and freshness. Winemakers Rodolfo Bartora and consulting winemaker Michel Rolland guide the wine through a thoughtful aging program that combines oak barrels, amphorae, and cocciopesto vessels, creating both depth and elegance.

In the glass, aromas of blackberry, blueberry, pepper, and licorice unfold alongside subtle cedar and smoke. The palate is structured yet approachable, with integrated tannins, layered fruit, and a long, savory finish. This is Cabernet Sauvignon with a sense of place—rooted in history, shaped by stone, and unmistakably Uruguayan.
